Here's a lovely improvisation for you to listen to. It was brought into being by Pratje Para, a group of four "formed through the desire for change in the musical process". Wonderful stuff:

The Empty Chair...

Call it a Clunes...

Good Evening,

I just stumbled across these wonderful videos from the golden age. They're a bit noisey, but bloody marvelous. Such a lovely day:

Lovely.

Sweet Potato - "MASH" - It's here...

A joint release with Records on Ribs, "MASH" is the first full-length album from Sweet Potato:

"Having released three albums of improvised recordings, Bristolian twenty-somethings Sweet Potato release Mash- a perverted rock album of note.

Lolloping, strangely propulsive rhythms underpin impressively enormous riffs and the operatic vocals of Stephen Baker, creating a record that has its fair share of headbanging moments, but retains a jazz sensibility throughout. Although decidely less pastoral, Mash brings to mind the Canterbury Scene in the way it toys effortlessly with generic conventions, yet manages to produce something considerably greater than the sum of its already impressive parts.

It’s available now for download or to buy (as a carbon neutral jewel cased CD with 8 page colour artwork) for a mere £5. It’s a co-release with the good people at Foetal Orange and an album we’re extremely proud to be putting out."
